Direct Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a nurturing attitude, patience, and the ability to handle various caregiving tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines.
• Assist clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Support individuals with dementia care or autism by implementing tailored care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families.
• A caring demeanor with the ability to work patiently with individuals facing various challenges, including dementia or autism.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of each client while providing personalized care.
